Resizing graphic

  Hi

  I have an image for an ebook cover which I tried many times to edit to thumbnail size for a contact page. No matter what i do, when I import the image from my media gallery it is huge: it can be cropped, it cannot be reduced in size. This is true either when trying to edit the image from the gallery or when imported into the page.

  I have even gone so far as to photograph it from my laptop screen, which can’t be the best way. Any pointers would be welcome.
