Resizing images
-
I have not used WordPress for quite a while – my last trip was pre-pandemic and cannot remember even the basics. I have been googling everything I can but can’t get it straight. I will start by asking how I can resize my images and position them.

Thank you for your help. I used the “Add Block” and chose my photo. However, I don’t seem to have a menu as shown in the video. I can move the image and crop it but can’t resize it. I am on my iPad, not in a PC. Will that affect my options?

Hello,
I will start by asking how I can resize my images and position them.
To resize an image, click it to reveal the resize handles that look like blue dots around the image. Then, click on a resize handle and drag the image to your desired size.
Alternatively, you can adjust the width and height dimensions in the block settings on the right-hand side. There are also convenient options here for setting the image to 100, 75, 50, and 25% of its original size.
This guide below may be helpful. It also tells you how to align and crop the image and other block settings.

Hi,
How change the size of an image inserted into a post or page depends upon how it was inserted. If it’s in an Image Block, for example, the Resize Images section of the Image Block support page provides instructions and an illustration on how to resize an image.
Image alignment is covered in the Block Toolbar and Align Images sections of the same support page, and in the Align Images With Text support page.
