resizing images
-
I haven’t written in my blog for a while and the WordPress version has been updated. I had a lot of frustration today trying to do things that I found really easy before and could do in seconds, but today had to spend hours and still didn’t succeed.
The main problem is resizing images. I used to click in the image in the media, choose whether it wanted it to appear ‘small’ or ‘medium’ etc and choose the alignment ‘left’, ‘right’ etc. Where has that gone? I hunted and hunted and I can’t find it anywhere! I’ve ended up posting on my blog with images way bigger than I wanted, but I ran out of time to try and work out how to do something that was so simple before. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Your site <www.kiwicymraeg.com> is hosted somewhere else using WordPress.ORG software, it is not hosted at WordPress.COM.
.ORG and .COM are different from each other, to understand the difference, you may wish to read this page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
To get support for WordPress.ORG sites (your site), you can go to: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Bests,

Thanks. That sentence about “The blog I need help with” I didn’t write. I was actually writing a post on a WordPress site – https://wordpress.com/view/esperantowales.wordpress.com – and that’s the one that I struggled with, but I do have the same issue with my personal blog.
Your link helped me though. I searched in the wordpress.org help and found that I can install the Classic Editor plugin. I tried it in my personal blog and Yay, it’s back to being easy to use. I can’t make head nor tail of the Block Editor! -
OK, so my joy was a little premature there. I’ve successfully installed the Classic Editor in my own blog, but the Esperanto Wales site is just a free one on WordPress, and when I tried to do it there it informed that I had to upgrade to a Business Plan … despite other places telling me that the Classic Editor plugin is free. How do I get around this? How can I get the Classic Editor on my free WordPress site?
