Resizing images into posts — is there a better way?

    Current Typepad user trying to love WordPress for the “Custom headers” but …

    Typepad allows uploading an image and customizing/resizing during upload.

    I upload LARGE images/layouts often and have NO DESIRE to have to “save as” smaller images on my harddrive and then upload. I want ONE image (The original) to upload and resize in the posts.

    Can that be done?

    No.
    We (currently) have no image resizing software on the server.
    You are much better to optimise your image and check sizes before you upload.
