Resizing widget bar

  Hello,

  I’m currently using the Canard theme and I’d like to resize the widget area to make it smaller.

  OR

  Better still, I’d like to have the widget bar for the home page BUT to remove it entirely for when reading posts so that, I know how to change the visibility so that you simply cannot see the widgets but the bar still remains- empty. Is it possible to conditionally remove that too?

  Hi!

  It is possible to remove the sidebar with some advanced custom CSS coding (which requires the premium or business level WordPress account), but you can also select a theme such as Button or Twenty Sixteen, which will automatically remove the sidebar when widget visibility is turned off.

  Take a look and see if you like Button (https://wordpress.com/themes/button/) or Twenty Sixteen (https://wordpress.com/themes/twentysixteen/) and if not, let me know if you have the premium or business account and I can help you with the CSS.
