Resonar featured image not measurements are different

    Hi I switched to this theme fairly recently and I’m still tweaking it. The Resonar theme page says the featured image size is 2000 x 1500 but that’s not the case. My images are truncated at that measurement. What can i do to get the image that size?

  • Hi Vivian,

    I took a look at your media library, but I don’t see any images that have been uploaded with at least a 2000 x 1500 size. However, the theme is designed to scale the background image to fit the width of the browser. The way it is done means that the theme may not always show the image from edge to edge.

    Changing this behavior would require Custom CSS which becomes available when upgrading the site to WordPress.com Business or Premium. If you decide to upgrade and you’d like to adjust the way the theme handles the backgrounds, you can enter this into the My Site > Customize > CSS area of your site:

    .entry-header-background {background-size: contain;}

    If you decide to use this, keep in mind that depending on the size of the browser, black bars may appear above/below/beside the image. This is because it will no longer be scaled according to the theme’s original design, which prevents that from happening.
