Resonar images & social media icons
-
1. No images at all are showing up on my main page (emsaucier.wordpress.com) yet each post contains at least one image. How can I have the images show up as seen in the demo?
2. The images in my posts (except the most recent one) are all small, and I’d like to make them large. Is there a way to do a bulk edit and make them all large?
3. Say I decide to use another theme in the future. Will the size(s) of the images remain the same in any theme I choose? If not, what should I do so that my images migrate well into any theme?
4. How do I make the social media icons in the widget area the same size as those seen in demo? (I’m using the social media icon widget but they show up really small)

I am not very knowledgeable about images but I can help you with 4.
4. The social links in the demo page is not a text widget but social links menu. Check the instructions in https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/social-links-menu/ to learn how to add social links menu.

You need to upload the image as a featured image on each post, as outlined on the Resonar showcase page:
https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/resonar/
Each post displays a full-screen
Featured Image, which helps to visually tell your story. The large Featured Image is also used for a
Sticky Post on your blog’s homepage. It works best at 2000px wide and 1500px high. -

If you inserted them all at a set size (say, “Medium”) you can modify that “Medium” size for all posts under Settings > Media in WP Admin.
Before doing that, though, I’d first go ahead remove the image and add it as back a featured image, as I mentioned above. The theme is designed to work best with large featured images. Once you do that, you may not want to add the image a second time within the body of the post.

Images within the body of the post will stay the same size.
Images inserted elsewhere – for example as featured images – will become the size specified by the theme.
If not, what should I do so that my images migrate well into any theme?
Make sure your images – particularly featured images – are large enough, wherever possible. Images can always be made smaller by a theme and still look good, but not the reverse. The recommended image sizes for any theme are listed on the theme’s showcase page.
