Resonar trouble?

  It seems like most people having issues with the resonar theme are struggling with the header/featured image. I don’t have that problem at all, rather, I can’t figure out how to show my post excerpts on the home page. It seems like this would be a widget function in the footer or something, but resonar does not provide any homepage widgets, just the … part. Neither the resonar “how to use” page, not anything I’ve found in the forums seems to address this issue, and I wonder if the theme is working correctly should the posts automatically generate? not sure, but any help would be awesome. thanks.

  Basically, I’d like my homepage to look exactly like the demo:
  Big front header image (got it!), and excerpts of my most recent posts under that, making up the rest of the homepage.
