Responding to an abuse report
-
I have reported (in the prescribed manner) a blog that has been set up specifically to abuse me personally AND to make untrue defamatory allegations. From what I have read the blog is in clear breach of your T.O.S. and should be automatically suspended. I have provided all the links & quotations yet I am still waiting for a response. I sent the report-abuse email over the weekend but after 3 working days I am yet to receive even an acknowledgent that WordPress are looking into it. While I appreciate that you probably have a long list of such complaints to deal with, surely you need to at least assure every person making such a report that you are attending to it. It’s just too easy for someone to set up an anonymous blog for the specific purpose of damaging someone’s reputation and I really think this is an area that needs to be tightened. When can I expect a response?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have you checked your spam folder.?
I also recommend checking out this link there is a direct email within the post to direct these kind of complaints too. http://en.wordpress.com/abuse/

Yes, I’ve checked my junk mail – no response there. As I said above, I have already reported the abuse via that link – 5 days ago. The issue I now raise is the lack of any kind of acknowledgement of my report. The complaints page states that WordPress takes abuse reports very seriously but I can’t say I’m getting that impression.

raydixon, staff generally cannot respond to complaints for legal reasons. You won’t get an acknowledgement.
