Responding To Comments

  When responding to a comment made to one of my posts, does that person receive an email notification that replied to their comment?

  Hi there!

  By default, the person will not receive an email when you reply to their comment unless they opted-in to receive comments by email by checking the box “Notify me of new comments via email.” before posting.

  Also, if the comment author has a WordPress.com account and they were logged in when posting the comment, they’ll get a notification on their WordPress.com toolbar when there’s a new reply to their comment.
