Response from Automattic Trust & Safety

I’ve been in touch with Automattic Trust & Safety emails lately and it seems that they couldn’t remove information from a rather sensitive page just because of

“A partial match for a common name is not considered private information, and we will not remove it.” The page is about scammers to begin with, and there’s pretty much no way I can hide away from an existing blog (from 2019) with a Google Search.

Basically, I’m currently highly vulnerable to defamation remarks linked to Scammers from a Google Search (due to a fact a website was created here in WordPress) all because they refused to remove it. Please help me out administrators of WordPress. I had nothing to do with the page mentioned in the first place and I’m running into trouble.

STOP creating duplicate threads. As a Staff member wrote in another of your threads “If you already received a reply from our TOS team, please reply to their email directly. It’s not something we can help you with here, on the forums.”

How am I suppose to carry on my inquiries to the fellow staff if I’m not allowed to make a post? I can only reach staff members here if I make a new one since all of the previous ones were closed. Please walk in my shoes, I am stuck and lost at this point. Dedicated my whole day just to get myself out of this mess just to be directed all over the internet.

  • Please respond directly to the email from our Trust and Safety team. These issues cannot be solved via our public forum.

I’ll leave this thread open for a bit. But you’ll just end up getting the the same answer. We simply must route all Trust and Safety issues directly to that team.
