Responses Not Showing on A Particular Post
-
I have had one comment on my latest post, A Passion for God, however it is inaccessible except through the dashboard. Sometimes the word Responses is not even visible on the post. Sometimes the word Responses is visible, but when I click on it, it disappears. I tried to post a test comment, but the comment would not post.
This is happening only on this blog–www.shirleybuxton.wordpress.com– and only on this post
Another strange thing about this particular column is at the bottom is a line of code I cannot delete. Sometimes it is visible on the post merely as code; sometimes it says end of sermon.
Help, please. Thank you.

That post looks as if it was copied and pasted from somewhere since the coding looks strange. Copy all the text out, paste it into a text editor and then paste it back in from the text editor so that all the coding is removed. Then format it as you wish and save it.
Never copy and paste something directly from the web or from another program, always paste it using the “paste as plain text” or “paste from Word” (it pasting from MS Word) so that it strips out any code which will mess up your post.

Richard, I see your test post on my site–not visible on my blog face–only if I look in the comments on my dash.
I must leave now and won’t be back on the forum for over an hour.

Richard, I didn’t copy and paste that post. It’s original with me. The only thing I copied and pasted was the picture of Melody–my own picture from Flicr.

OK, when you get back, log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, close and reopen your browser and then log back in and see if you can see the comments.
On the line of text at the bottom that shows up or doesn’t show up, open that post to edit and then switch to code view and look toward the bottom. According to W3C’s validator, it is seeing that line as “code” instead of text (and is responsible for a bunch of errors that show up in the validation test).
It’s strange that each paragraph shows an
"align=left"at the beginning of each paragraph where your other posts do not. That was what lead me to believe it was pasted in from another program.I would copy it all out to the clipboard, and then use the “paste as plain text” icon on the extended tool bar to get it back in.

You’re welcome. Hope the fact that the “comment” link is not working for you straightens out. I tried it several times from different browsers and it worked for me.
