Responsive CSS Help

    Hello,

    I’ve made the footer 1050px (full width of theme) and I have three columns in the footer widget and I’m having trouble moving the outer columns content closer to the monogram in the middle without messing up in the mobile view. For instance, I tried using margins but they were going off the page in mobile view since they stack on top of each other in mobile view. I was hoping someone would have an idea or a fix for this. I’m stumped. Thanks a bunch.

    Thanks again, J

    I checked just now on mobile, and I think footer widgets look really nice in a vertical stack that way. I don’t see how they could fit side-by-side on mobile given how large each one is. Would you consider leaving the stacking as is?

    I’m not sure what you mean when you say the footer widgets were going off the page, or maybe you changed it already since the time you posted your help request. I did noticed some of the lettering in the address link overlapping with itself on mobile. Do you see that? I’m not sure what’s causing that, but I think you can fix it by adding the following to your Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:

    .footer .columns p,
    .footer .columns a {
      line-height: 1;
    }

    Hi @mrlehew, it looks like you are using WordPress but you are not hosted here at WordPress.com. For self-hosted WordPress sites such as yours, I would suggest asking for help from the theme author directly or ask in the volunteer-based WordPress.org Themes and Templates forum.
