Responsive layout not working for Travel Lite Basic Theme
-
Hello
I’m working with Travel Lite Basic Theme for a client and the Responsive layout is not working! What could be the cause? was told by D5 Creation Support to “Please consider that the Background Image of the Free Version is dealt by WordPress Core” – Is there a specific size the background image needs to be in to work properly? Layout looks horrible on Mobile devices at the moment…so, any input appreciated! Thank you -
Hi there,
Travel Lite Basic is not a theme that’s available in the WordPress.com repository. Is the site you’re using it with hosted outside of WordPress.com and running on the free software available at WordPress.org?
The differences between the two types of WordPress (WordPress.com and WordPress.org) is a common and understandable point of confusion. I recommend the following guide, which gives a good overview on the two, if you’re unsure:
As that theme is not available in the WordPress.com repository, staff here are limited in the support we can provide.
It sounds like you’ve already contacted the theme author (D5 Creation Support).
If they aren’t able to help so that your site works well across devices of all sizes, another option is to install the Jetpack plugin and activate its Mobile Theme.
If that doesn’t help, I recommend posting to the WordPress.org support forum directly with a link to your site. The community of helpers over there will be in a good position to help you troubleshoot:

Thanks!

Hello,
I had no idea about the two different types. I checked and it runs on the .org version.
Thank you so much for all the info; will look at everything and hoping it’ll work with the plugin!
Much appreciated!!
