[Responsive theme] Can you use showcase page template on About page?
-
I’m just wondering if you can use the Showcase page template on another page apart from the home page on the Responsive theme?
I’m trying to get the best out of my blog’s theme and features and are just wondering if you can do certain things.
Thanks,

Can you only use it on the homepage?
Yes and that’s what “showcase template” indicates as posts are only showcased on the front page of our blogs, and to display full posts on their own pages we must click the post title or comments link.

The above replies are wrong. A template is a layout you select for a particular page you have created in Pages > Add New, so of course it can be a page other than your homepage.
But there’s no “Showcase” template on Responsive. Do you mean the “Home” template?

Hi again Tom,
justpi will of course help with this but I have a suggestion.Every blogger needs a test blog to try out themes, features and widgets, etc. in. Make it a private mirror blog of your primary blog and it becomes very useful as well as being a backup blog you import content into on a regular basis. To change blog visibility go to > Settings > Reading. here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ scroll down to Creating a mirror blog http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/05/19/how-to-select-a-wordpress-com-theme-part-1/
