Responsive theme issue with twentyfourteen
-
Hi all,
We have been using WordPress for years and love it.
Really need help on an issue that is causing an annoyance that is affecting only iphone/ios users.
We recently installed a mobile theme on our OpenCart shop site and have a link on it to our WordPress blog site.
When the link is clicked by Android users, the wordpress site opens and appears correctly suited for the small screen (wordpress theme is twentyfourteen).
When the same link is clicked by iphone/ios users, the wordpress site opens and appears incorrectly as if it was being accessed from a desktop PC with large screen. The iphone/ios user can then simply refresh the page and the wordpress site appears correctly suited for the small screen as it should.
The bizarre thing is that this behaviour does not occur on an exact copy of both sites in a test environment! It is causing a high bounce rate and causing many complaints from iphone/ios users.
Live site: footprintfashions.com.au/shop?view=mobile (link is ‘LATEST FF NEWS’ in the header)
Test site: footprintfashions.com.au/test?view=mobile (link is ‘LATEST FF NEWS’ in the header)
We have tried to hard code the link to force a smaller resolution yet that did not make any difference:
Anyone have any ideas or other suggestion for us to try?
Thanks!
:)

Could you post your question to self-hosted forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/themes-and-templates
This forum is only to help WordPress.com users. Although yours is also a WordPress site, it is a WordPress.org based self-hosted blog.
In case you haven’t got a chance to know the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org (self-hosted WordPress site), I encourage you to check it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I’d suggest you post your question in the Twenty Fourteen support forum rather than the general themes forum at WordPress.org:
