Responsive theme mobile layout not working properly since redirect
-
Hi there,
I have a wordpress.com website [allesvoorengels.wordpress.com] with the Responsive Theme. Up till now, the mobile version of it has worked as it should. However, now that I have bought a domain [allesvoorengels.nl] and set it to redirect to [allesvoorengels.wordpress.com], the mobile version is buggy.
When I now go to [allesvoorengels.nl] on my mobile device, it does seem to recognize that I am on a mobile device, as menus look different (blue). However, the website is not properly adapted to my screen and I have to zoom in a lot.
When I now go to [allesvoorengels.wordpress.com] everything works properly.
Thus, the redirecting from [allesvoorengels.nl] to [allesvoorengels.wordpress.com] is going wrong somehow.
What can I do?
Thanks in advance,

With your custom .nl domain, the website loads up fine on my mobile browser but the text of menus is too small. Rest of the content is fine.
This discrepancy could be because of one reason — you haven’t properly mapped your domain to the WordPress.com address. Currently, you’re just redirecting allesvoorengels.nl to allesvoorengels.wordpress.com.
To properly map a domain, you need to purchase its upgrade and change your existing nameservers to WordPress.com’s. Detailed guide is available here.

I just checked the source code, and you’re actually putting the blog in an iframe on allesvoorengels.nl. This is the most probable cause of bad layout.
Mapping will point the domain name to your WordPress.com blog at the DNS level.
What you’re doing currently is bad for search engine ranking as well, Google will treat both domain names separately.
