  I started to sign up for a website/blog using a domain name I now wish to change. I don’t want to use the domain name that has been assigned to my account. I have NOT paid any money for this domain name, but it seems to be attached to my email sign-in info. How do I start over?

  Hi, I’m not sure you need to start over actually. Let’s just see if we can help you get the domain thing sorted. What domain are you trying to use?

  I signed up for “yeomanhousebooks.com.”

  Have not yet clicked thru to pay for it. Because I wasn’t sure that was the domain I really wanted to use.

  I don’t want to use that domain name. I have another in mind instead.

  I see where I can keep that domain name and register for another (like the one I want to use) but that would mean paying for both domain names, and I don’t want to do that.

  I would prefer to start clean. Delete the yeomanhousebooks name and start over with the name I want to use.

  So how do I do that?

  Currently, you have a couple of free WordPress.com sites on your account:

  yeomanhouse.wordpress.com
  yeomanhousebooks.wordpress.com

  Those are both free sites, and free URLs. You can add as many of these to your account as you would like, there is no limit.

  You have the option of deleting any that you do not wish to keep. Here’s how to delete a site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  If you have a new site name in mind that you would like to create a site for, you only need add a new site. Here’s how:

  1. Click on My Sites (top-left)
  2. Click on Switch Site
  3. Click on Add New Site

  That will help you get into the new site creation process where your first step will be to enter the name of the site you would like to create.
