Restart payment for my wordpress site

I need to start payment again for this site as it was linked to an old card which is no longer in date.

If you need to purchase a plan, this can be done via My Site > Upgrades > Plans

My problem is that I can no longer log into the site: sophiekerseyauthor.wordpress.com because the user name doesn’t work. When I log in it just takes me to the first blog I had on wordpress: givingupthedayjob.wordpress.com, which I no longer use. I own the domain name Sophie Kersey, Author so want to use sophiekerseyauthor.wordpress.com. This used to come up as an option to switch to from the other site but no longer does, perhaps because the payment hasn’t been made. I am worried that if I go in and make a purchase from givingupthedayjob.com, this will be for this site which isn’t what I want.

I seem to be going round in circles. I can access my account that takes me to my blog site ‘giving up the day job’ – givingupthedayjob. However I cannot access the site I now want to use sophiekerseyauthor.wordpress.com
I realise my payment has stopped because it was linked to a card that is no longer in date. Can you confirm if I set up another payment from within the givingupthedayjob site it will then allow me to access the sophiekerseyauthor site as these sites appear to be linked.Thanks.

Those sites are not linked as they are under two different WordPress.com accounts.
To be able to purchase a plan for sophiekerseyauthor.wordpress.com, you need to access the account that owns it which is different than the account you’re currently logged in to (@givingupthedayjob).

I have only ever had 3 wordpress sites: 1) givingupthedayjob, 2) sophiekersey.wordpress.com which was my Sophie Kersey, Editor and Proofreader site, and 3) Sophie Kersey, Author, which was the only one I had a paying plan for. Previously I could go between the sites once logged in. Now, if I try to log into any of the other accounts, I am taken to givingupthedayjob. I have 2 simultaneous problems: I can’t access the author account because I don’t have the log in details, and I can’t access it to change the password because the payment has lapsed. I want to restart payment, but can’t log into any account except givingupthedayjob. If there is no solution I am going to have to migrate my Sophie Kersey, Author domain name to a provider that can help me. Unless you have another solution?

As @fstat already said, you can restore access to your lost account at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/. As you had a paid plan, you can use the transaction ID

I have put the transaction code into the account recovery form, but the form won’t accept the fact that the only login I have is my email address, and that is the same as my current email address. The form is rejected for this reason.
