restarting

I had a blog, http://www.safecommunityhq.com that I started back in 2013. I believe I used Bluehost. WordPress.com, and WordPress.org. Of course, like a dummy, I did not keep everything up. I still have the domain name through GoDaddy and have renewed with Bluehost. Unfortunately, I did not keep all my web addresses and passwords. However, I did back up my wordpress account and have a working wordpress username and password. What would be some good steps I could take to resurrect my blog?

The first step is going to be deciding where to host your site. For example, if you’d like to host over at Bluehost or another WordPress host like Pressable and connect to WordPress.com through Jetpack or host the site directly on WordPress.com. You’ll find a comparison of your options here:
When you say you have a backup of your WordPress Account do you mean your WordPress.com account or do you have an XML, Database, or another type of backup of the original site? Depending on what you have that will also help determine the next steps.
After you’ve determined your backup type and decided on a host then you’ll want to get to work building your new WordPress site. If you have specific questions just let us know and we can get you pointed to the correct place.
