restarting blog

I had a blog a while ago, and deleted it, and want to start a new one from this same account — I tried to start the blog as samanthahunter.wordpress.com, but it tells me that is already in use — however, when I type it into the URL bar, it tells me it has been deleted by the author (me). How can I start a blog using this url again?
Also, I would like to delete the Yogaforayear blog, which I have never used, but I can’t seem to find a way to do that? The dashboard gives me options to hide or enable, etc but not to delete. Thank you,

Nevermind – I knew WordPress stopped others from using the blogs that had already been used, but I didn’t realize I couldn’t reuse my own name after deleting it before… I’ll just come up with a different variation. Thanks. Sam

You can’t. I’m sorry but deleted .wordpress.com blog URLs here are not recycled.

and http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

You must be logged in under the username account that registered that blog and who is the Admin of the blog in order to delete it.
