Restore a deleted subdomain

  Hello,
  
  I recently moved a domain away from wordpress.com thinking that nothing would be lost as long as the nameservers stay the same. However, it seems that subdomain.wordpress.com sites get deleted when I transfer the main domain away, is that correct? Is it possible to restore a .wordpress.com subdomain even if it’s gone now? It was deleted about 24-48 hours ago, after the domain transfer was done.
