Restore account

I thought I wanted to kill my website but now I don’t. How can I reinstate it and how much will it cost? Also, I’m confused between GoDaddy and WordPress. GoDaddy is like the landlord and I just paid them $89 for to ‘rent the space’ on the Internet for the next 2 years. Will I also have to pay WordPress? And if GoDaddy is the landlord, then what’s WordPress? Why do I have to pay both? Thanks.

Hello!
If you are requesting to restore a WordPress.com website, that requires staff assistance to determine what is possible. You can expedite the process by posting again to share the address of the website you want to recover.
Near term, I will add a modlook tag to flag your post for staff attention.
To use your analogy, GoDaddy and WordPress.com are both landlords: companies that provide web hosting services for WordPress websites.
With GoDaddy, you build your website with the free open source version of WordPress that is supported at WordPress.org.
With WordPress.com, you build your website with a similar version of WordPress that is customized for the WordPress.com managed hosting platform. Both companies offer a variety of service levels for different budgets and requirements.
Typically, you pay one company to host your website = “rent the space on the Internet”.
If you are committed to GoDaddy for the next two years, you would stay with GoDaddy hosting and build your site with WordPress from WordPress.org. If you want to switch or switch back to WordPress.com hosting, you will pay WordPress.com for hosting and use WordPress from WordPress.com.
Also, if you have questions about a website that uses WordPress from WordPress.org, you find help in the WordPress.org support forums instead of here.
You can read more about the differences between WordPress from WordPress.org and WordPress from WordPress.com at this link:
If you have more questions, please post again to let us know.

Hi there,
Was there an account/website that you are interested in recovering? If so, you should’ve received an automated email from us when you deleted your account. If you reply to that email mentioning that you want your account restored, our account recovery team will be able to assist you with this, assuming the deletion has been within 30 days.

Hello, I am trying to restore http://www.carolinesommers.tv
Today is 30 days since I said I wanted to cancel it. Can it be restored? I already paid GoDaddy to renew the domain but do I also have to pay WordPress? Thanks – Caroline Sommers -
carolinesommers.tv has never been connected to any site or account on WordPress.com.
That domain is registered and hosted at GoDaddy.com. For any help with that domain you must contact them directly.
If you had a WordPress site at that domain that you took offline and are trying to get back, that site would have been built with the open source WordPress.org software on GoDaddy’s servers, so only GoDaddy has the ability to restore that for you, provided they still have a backup for that site on their system.
But none of your site’s data has ever been with us on WordPress.com, so we cannot help with this.
