Restore content

I had a WordPress-hosted site with a custom domain (thebroadwaybuzz.com), which I’ve since let expire because I don’t use it any longer. However, I’d like access to the posts I’d written. Is there a way to retrieve these, or transfer them back to a XXXXX.wordpress.com domain?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, you don’t mention whether your domain was purchased and hosted here at WordPressdotcom or with a different hosting provider.
If the site was hosted here, and the domain expired, it would eventually revert to its underlying xxx.wordpress.com address or you’d need to set your xxx.wordpress.com site as the primary site in your domain dashboard.
If the site was hosted on someone else’s servers, WordPressdotcom doesn’t keep a backup copy of your posts. You’d need to approach your web hosting provider for a backup and then upload the XML file to WordPressdotcom.
Let us know if you need further help with this.

@rprowler I can see you set up a site with that address here some time ago, under rprowler.wordpress.com, but as far as I can tell you didn’t write posts here on our servers. You cancelled your upgrades and likely set up an installation with another host.
You might contact that host to see if they have backups, but we would not have content for a site not hosted here. You might also try the Wayback Machine and copying content from that:
