Restore Deleted Domain
-
Hello!
I purchased a domain yonatanrozin.com through WordPress but wanted to transfer the domain to a different service. I read this wouldn’t have been possible until the domain was registered for at least 2 months, so I decided to delete it and try to re-purchase it on a different service, but it doesn’t seem available for purchase. I wanted to ask how long, if ever, the domain might be purchasable again and if the domain could be restored in the meantime. I’m happy to pay the registration fees again.
Thank you so much!

Hi there!
To avoid any extra/unneeded charges for the domain given the above, I restored your domain while it’s still in the grace period.
You can find it in your WordPress.com dashboard by clicking on the “Switch site” (top-left), and clicking on the “yonatanrozin.com” from the list of sites.
Then, you’ll be able to manage it by clicking on the “Manage domain” button or via the sidebar menu:

(if you can’t see the screenshot, click here)Given that your domain is currently within the transfer lock, I suggest changing the name servers for your domain and configuring it to point to your other (non-WordPress.com site) by following this guide:
A domain’s name servers store information about your domain (in the form of “DNS records”) and tell your domain where to look for your website’s content. This guide will show you how to change your domain’s name servers to point to WordPress.com or any other host. Please note that your domain must be at least 60 days old before you can transfer it away. If it’s a new domain, you can change the name servers instead. You’re most welcome! 😊
I’ll close this thread since the issue is solved, but you are welcome to start a new one in case you have any other questions.
