Restore deleted domain

  Hello,

  I accidentally deleted my purchased domain thru wordpress.com

  ruwanratnayakemd.com

  I need help restoring it to this account.

  I noticed that you have also deleted the site ruwanratnayakemd.wordpress.com. Would you want us to recover that for you as well?

  Hi – we have paid the fee.

  In regards to the wordpress subdomain, we don’t need that one, unless it is required to enable jetpack on my self hosted site.

  I have restored the domain ruwanratnayakemd.com to your account.

  On WordPress.com, domain registrations must be associated with a WordPress.com site, so I did also need to restore the site ruwanratnayakemd.wordpress.com which you had deleted.

  If you don’t wish for this site to be accessible, I would suggest going to My Site > Manage > Settings on your WordPress.com dashboard and set the site to private.

  Thank you. I am now getting HSTS errors. Is this on this side or GoDaddy? That is where the nameservers are pointing to.

  ruwanratnayakemd.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

  Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with GoDaddy.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.   Thanks guys. The HSTS is related to the browser actually. When the domain was deleted, it now defaulted to HTTPS and the browser remembered it. After deleting browser cache, it no longer forced HTTPS and resolved the issue.
