restore deleted site

Hi, I’d like to restore a deleted site. I accidentally deleted the site ‘thelatinatechdotcomdomainonly.wordpress.com’ before removing a domain I just purchased and now I’m not able to transfer the domain to my existing website. Can you please assist?

Hi there!
It looks like the address you’re referring to was a domain-only site, which means there isn’t an actual site that you worked on. Rather, it was a WordPress.com address created to hold your domain that didn’t have a specific site.
To clarify, can you tell us if you had any work done on the site? I’m seeing content published on the current site at https://thelatinatech0.wordpress.com. Is this the site you want to use your domain with?
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

I didn’t have anything that I actually wanted to save from the deleted site aside of the domain. I’ve been trying to associated the .com domain with the current site at https://thelatinatech0.wordpress.com, but I’m not able to which is why I figured it might have to do with the deletion. Anytime I go to the .com domain, it directs me to the deleted site.

When I go to WordPress > Manage Domains > All Domains > Add a Domain > Register a new Domain >and enter in the .com site, the following message returns: “thelatinatech.com is already registered on your site thelatinatech.com. Do you want to move it to this site?” When I click to “move it to this site” it takes me back to the All Domains page, which is blank.
When I go to Domains on the https://thelatinatech0.wordpress.com site > Add a Domain > Use a domain I own, I get the following as shown in the picture.
I’m pretty confused as to where the domain went as how I can get it associated to this site. Would appreciate any assistance with this. Thanks in advance!

Hi there!
The site at thelatinatech0.wordpress.com already has the domain thelatinatech.com registered, which is why the error message appears. But there does seem to be an issue. I believe it’s been fixed. Can you try visiting thelatinatech.com again to see what happens? It should redirect to thelatinatech0.wordpress.com.
If you’d like to set thelatinatech.com as the primary address, please upgrade to a WordPress.com plan and follow the steps here.
Hope that helps! Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.
