Restore domain
-
I deleted my domain but I was wondering if there is anyway that I can restore it so I can transfer it to bluehost.

Hi @larissarichard, since you cancelled right away, the domain will released within 5 days. You were refunded as well.
If you need the domain sooner than that, we can create an invoice. Once we’ve got payment confirmation, we can restore the domain so you can point it to your new host. It would be transfer locked for 60 days, though, so you wouldn’t be able to actually transfer it there until then.
Let us know what you want to do.

Ah, I had this loaded up earlier today and missed your response (and the fact that this was duplicated.) I’ll close this one out.
@larissarichard — please reply to the other thread. Thank you! -
Hello, thank you for replying. If I wait 5 days until the domain is released, will I still have to Wait 60 days for it to transfer? Also if the domain is pointed to my host will it transfer automatically after the 60 days ??
-
@larissarichard if you wait 5 days, no you will not have to wait 60 days. You would be registering it as a new domain.
If you choose to restore here, and point to the new host, no it will not automatically transfer.
-
Transfers do not happen automatically, and you will need to wait the 60 days after registration to transfer it.
That 60 days waiting period is imposed on all domain registrars by ICANN (the organization which sets policy for all domain registrars).
With that said, if you do wait for the domain to return to the public market, you can simply register it with your desired domain registrar at that time.
