Howdy!
I see that the “modlook” tag is added to this forum topic. One of the WordPress.com Happiness Engineers should be able to help you through this.
Please wait for their response. Thanks.

Hi margaretchase1996,
Is there a way that I can get this domain back?
I’ve been able to restore margaretchase.com back to margaretchasecom.wordpress.com for you. These steps will guide you through the process of transferring the domain away from WordPress.com:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/
The transfer code you receive must be given to your new domain provider in order to initiate the transfer.
I’ll be here if you have any questions along the way.

Thank you so much! I just started the process and am getting a message that says my domain cannot be transferred for 60 days. Is this because I updated my email address and is there a way around this?
Thanks!

Hi margaretchase1996,
am getting a message that says my domain cannot be transferred for 60 days. Is this because I updated my email address
Yes, updating the contact details for your domain will trigger a 60 day transfer lock unless you specifically opt out of it. You could try updating the contact details again and opt out of the lock this time. There is a screenshot of the option you need to uncheck here:

Let me know how you get on.
