Restore fiehn.worpress.com

  Hi there, I’ve deleted the content under my former domain fiehn.wordpress.com and didn’t realise that the domain will also be no longer available. I’m now working with a new domain (thomasfiehn.wordpress.com) and the weird thing is that in my Personal Account Settings I still find my former domain fiehn.wordpress.com under “Web Address”. I would really prefer to work with this domain. Is there any way to restore it so I can use it? Many thanks, Thomas

  I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up as it sounds like your deleted blog is part of the duplicate blogs issue. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  NOTE: To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and it must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. Once the verification link for deletion is clicked the blog URL is forever gone, gone, gone.
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ You cannot recover or register any deleted blog URL. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

  Thanks for your quick response. Yes I have seen the warnings, but there is not a single word about the deletion of the URL:

  It doesn’t make sense to me. At least they should include the information in the final warning message to avoid frustration afterwards.

  Sorry about the confusion. The site fiehn.wordpress.com was deleted. I’m not sure where that site address is still showing up for you (and if you can link me, or show me via a screenshot, that would be very helpful), but the site and URL are no longer available.
