Restore my site

I tried installing a new theme to my website (did not activate or do a live preview) and somehow all the data vanished from the site. I haven’t backed up (manual or auto) my website before doing this.
I have a free version of Jetpack now and I can see the changes made in the activity log. Now, if I buy a ‘backup’ or ‘security’ plan of Jetpack, will I be able to roll back to the change done and restore the data and site?If this does not work, can you help me with other solutions?

Hi there,
If you upgraded to a paid Jetpack plan now, you’d only be able to roll back changes as of the moment you buy the upgrade – Jetpack Backup can only start creating backups of your site once it’s active.
Without Jetpack Backups being active, Activity log is just that – a log of changes on your site.
I recommend you contact your hosting provider to ask if they perhaps have a backup they can restore for you. But failing that, if you didn’t keep your own backups, then there’s no way to restore the missing data.
