Restore settings for this site

    This is in reference to post#3790551

    I contacted GoDaddy support. They told me to add the WordPress hosting IP address to the domain. How do I get the hosting IP address of the WordPress site that isn’t currently being hosted on WordPress?

    Hi,

    What exactly are you trying to achieve? If your client’s site was hosted on WordPress.com, there would be no need to connect an old domain to restore the site’s content or settings. We do not change those when the domain is disconnected.

    If you’re looking to restore a site without backup, you will need to reach out to whoever hosted the site before. The community folks at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ may be able to advise better on this. Here we can only help with issues related to WordPress.com.
