restore site with content?

    I had a website hosted by blue host. they said they don’t have a back up to restore my site, but I’m wondering how to figure out if I did on my wordpress site. I had self hosted wordpress.org

    Hi there,

    To clarify, WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress sites (using software from WordPress.org) are two different entities.

    The essential difference is that even though they are both called “WordPress” we run a custom cloud-based version of the WordPress software that allows us to power millions of sites.

    We do keep backups, but this only applies to sites that we ourselves host here at WordPress.com. We do not have a direct connection to WordPress sites set up on other providers so I’m afraid that we do not have a backup of your site, and are not able to help in this case.
