Restore the Old Editor Page
-
I need the Old Editor Page restored ASAP, because the new one doesn’t display ALL the parent pages properly, and the link to the new page won’t display on the page. That adds several steps to the task of using that link to direct viewers from elsewhere to the new page. Up to last week, I had the choice to switch back to the old, more complete and better designed editor; have no idea why that ability was taken away.
Also, once the post is ready to be published, there’s no option to add its headline to the Sharing feature, only the supertitle; I always use a supertitle AND a headline for my posts. Thanks and regards,

Other shortcoming of the new editor concerns the tags, which I’ve been using for years. I used to have hundreds of them stored, on the ready; now it shows only a small fraction of them.
I know that WP is a free site, and using it for some five years now, I’m also aware that we’re guinea pigs for experiments that ultimately aim at making the site better.
But there must be a way to warn us in advance of the changes about to be made. We may then offer our educated input as users, instead of having to stumble upon them just when it’s time to publish a new post. It’d help and save time for both developers and users alike.
Thanks so much for your help.

The classic dashboard for your site can (and will always) be found at this link:

What many people do is to place a bookmark button on their browser dashboard to always enter their site via that interface.

Thanks rootjosh, but what I need is the Editor page. Since writing that request for help, I’ve found out that it I can get to the classic design once I start the post, close it, and reopen it, by going through the Dashboard and clicking on Blog Posts. But then, the tags I’d selected before, when trying to work with the new version, won’t show. Again, several unnecessary steps. The new one also gives me only a fraction of the categories I used to draw from, created through the years, and it won’t show the number of Revisions I’ve already done. Thanks for your help.
