Restore Theme Defaults
-
Hello!
I have an existing site that I am redesigning, and I’m wondering if there is a way to revert to a new theme’s defaults. My existing site had CSS modifications built onto it, and I’m just looking start over with a new, unadulterated theme. Thank you!

Hi there!
Yes! you can pick any other theme and apply it to your site, when you do this the CSS modifications will be erased, although you can restore them if needed. Or you can delete the CSS going into Appearance> Additional CSS
Some themes will also offer to replace your Homepage content with the demo, which can be quite useful, or you can opt to keep your Homepage and just apply the theme.
If you choose to have the demo, your current homepage will be saved as a draft so you won’t lose the information.Hope this helped! 😉

Hi there,
Can you confirm the URL of the site you need help with?
Adding CSS modifications to a site hosted on WordPress.com requires our Premium Plan. Given that http://undergroundherbarium.wordpress.com/ is on our free plan, I assume that’s not the site you’re speaking of :)
If you’re speaking of the Jetpack-connected site in your account, https://milkweedherbarium.com/, please contact support for the Wellness Pro theme you’re using on that site directly:
We don’t make that theme, so have no control over how it works. And your site also isn’t hosted on our servers, so we have no access to the dashboard or the database to help you make any changes to the theme.
