Restore to a previous time

Urrrgggghhh! Not sure what just happened with my post that just literally vanished without a trace, guess thats what happens when i`m handling alot of the posts/editing lately smh – anywho when this just happened (damn I have to re-typed all of that) it made me think of issues that happen with computers and you need to restore it to a previous time…would’nt it be cool if we could do that with our blogs? For those things we mistakenly deleted, moved on accident, lost and hated it that they have just vanished.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sorry to hear that, I know the feeling all to well. My harddrive died last month and therre was no way of recovery and I didnt have a back up. ALL my files wiped out. Maybe it helps to type the article in a memopad (the on on your computer that is) or textpad (whatever it is called) and then save it in a folder before you start typing it in an actual post.

If you can see the post in the Posts>Edit list, you might be able to restore it. WordPress saves your draft as you work, so there might be a previous version there in your Post Revisions Module.

I always tell myself to save as I work, but sometimes I’m so concentrated that I forget…

Was in the process of editing adding a link to the post, then clicked preview it happened so fast i`m not sure which window I closed out the original or the preview, but poof it was good…well the post and tittle remained, however all the content of the post had disappeared.

If there was a feature on WP to set it back a few mins, a few hrs, days or months would be excellent especially for noobie bloggers such as myself. I`ve saved drafts and re-edited posts countless times before so this is what really got me….just look away fromt he screen for a hot moment…POOF gone in 60 seconds.
