Restore username

  My username won’t change back to what it was. I’d like to change my username back to danieleagles and my blog address to http://danieleagles.wordpress.com but it says it’s unavailable now.

  HOWEVER

  (and this is why I never ever tell anyone to do the ‘change username’ procedure)

  It’s easy to change your displayed nickname any time you want. Except on your dashboard and in the forums, this will effectively BE your username, only you can change it whenever you want.

  Go to Users->My Profile, add the nickname to the appropriate place, Update the page, then go back to the nickname, select it from the drop down menu, and Update again. Done.
