Restoring backup changing the url

    Greats everybody,

    I want to restore a backup changing the url, as the title say. I have imported the database, kepping the same database user, the asme database name, the same password, changing only the host to localhost which correspond to my local install (changes on wp-config.php). I have put in the correct apache folder the files backup, and in the database table options I have change the url.
    then i did go to …./wp-admin/setup.php
    The result was a Out of Time connexion, so i did increase TimeOut on the apache VirtualHost to 500 000…
    Still out of time !
    That was a few days ago.
    Today I have only blank pages, except the info.php file i did create to verify my php installation.

    I guess that an installation can create some problems with a pre-configured wp-config.php file… right ?
