Restoring Deleted Content

    All of my content for my website is gone. I haven’t used this site for a while. Maybe a year back I do remember revising my site to a private one, but I don’t ever remembering deleting all of it’s content. I’ve looked in trash for pages or posts and there is nothing there. Is there any way to access lost data for my site? I don’t understand how all of the content just vanished. Does this usually happen if a site is not used for a while?

    Not really: a free site will remain roughly as it is unless you change something. But if you put things in the trash, the trash does eventually get emptied.

    @hannahporter2202     trashed several items about a year ago. Does that sound right to you?

    Regarding getting it back, it’s been deleted for quite a while now. Sadly, we don’t have backups going back that far. You could try retrieving what you can from archive.org/web though: just search for your site, click on a link from more than a year ago, then click through the site copy. You can copy any content you find there, and add it back into new pages and posts on your site. You can even back-date items if necessary ( changing the post date to the original day you posted that article.)

    You’ll also want to secure your account if you were not the person who deleted those items. I’d recommend 2FA:
