Restoring Expired Domain Name

Hello. I am a new wordpress user and was having technical difficulties with my account. So, I deleted my plan and domain name in hopes of fixing the issue — and I did! Now, I’d like to resotre my domain name, kaliarichardson.com, so I can get my site up and running! If anyone form wordpress support can help, that would be very appreciated. Thank you!

Are you looking to repurchase the Personal plan that you had previously? You will likely want to do so if you are going to use a custom domain on WordPress.com.

HI @staff-ozmodiar. Yes, I will purchase the personal plan again and I’m trying to get my domain name back. This is the error I keep getting when I try to select my kaliarichardson.com name for the first year. Is there anyway you can retrieve it?

We usually recommend not cancelling a domain registration if you’d like to use that domain again, as once it’s cancelled, it can be very difficult to get back.
Since it’s only been a few days, what you can do is go ahead and purchase the Personal plan as you normally would, without adding or connecting a domain. Let us know once you’ve done so, and we can then restore the domain registration for kaliarichardson.com on our side, and connect it to your Personal plan so it’s free for the first year.

Hi @geekinthegirl! I just purchased the personal plan, without the domain name. So, if you could restore the domain name, kaliarichardson.com, that would be terrific. Sorry for the complication and canceling the domain. Thank you for your help.
