Restoring old blogs
-
Hello,
I am struggling to log into my two blogs as the password has gone missing and I have no proof of ownership to provide as well. I have tried to restore my password, but seems like instead I have been created with new wordpress profile with no current blogs. I made both blogs private too, so cannot really access the information. I need somebody (an admin if possible) to probably find the blogs manually and provide me with temporary password to log in. Just need to get access to them as one is basically an online diary of two years backpacking in Australia. Anybody has any ideas what to do or where to turn to?

Though 30% of those who post here are posting to the wrong support forum I don’t have time to wait for a response to what is the URL of the site in question? so I can determine if it is hosted by wordpress.COM or not.
Let me state up front that we do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs and our support docs do like the account recovery one not apply to them. wordpress.ORG support is at http://wordpress.ORG/support/
Assuming you are referring to a site hosted by wordpress.COM please read on.
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
Go to the site in question and try commenting to see which email address receives the comment.
Be keenly aware that WordPress.COM Support Staff cannot breach the privacy policy and provide the log-in information. You have to provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff to gain access https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
If you check each and every possible email address and account and are not successful gaining access to the blog(s) then you must complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access.
