Restoring old site
-
Hi. I’m trying to restore and old site from a few years ago, or at least access the content. After 4 years I have logged back into my wordpress account but everything is gone. Is this possible?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with the actual blog’s name in that URL.
I recommend bookmarking that link or memorizing it.
You can update your email address here https://wordpress.com/me at any time.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login correctly under the relevant username account.
If you did not register the site under your username account and do not have the required access, then you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it, and have them act or transfer the site to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
If the login information has been lost go to
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#lost-passwordIf you check each and every possible email address and account and are not successful gaining access to the blog(s) then you must complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access.
Support Staff cannot breach the privacy policy and provide the log-in information. You have to provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff to gain access https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

The issue is I can log into the account, but there is no longer any content saved. Obviously as it’s been so long, the website no longer exists, but I would have thought all the articles I had written would have still be saved on my account/

The Admin login link to the dashboard of that site is
http://travelaroundsolo.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
The saved draft posts are found at
http://travelaroundsolo.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=postThe saved draft pages are found at
http://travelaroundsolo.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=pageStaff are working on improving post and page revisions. The most recent 25 revisions are available for posts and pages.
If you cannot restore from your browser, or locate a revision, or restore from Trash then the content has been lost and cannot be recovered.
re: recovering a lost post or page
If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Pages > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needed.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/page-revisions/See also if applicable > restoring from trash http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash
If you do not find it then either you deleted the content or provided someone else with the ability to access the site and delete it and Staff cannot restore it as it’s not on the servers.

There is no published and indexed content in Google’s cache for that site. The Internet Archives Wayback Machine doesn’t have that page archived.
