restoring old user interface for lists of blog posting live and pending
-
I write series of essays and am constantly using the blog posts lists as I connect next postings to ones finished, which have yet to go live and that have already. I have found the old format for this to be very helpful and the new one to be really kludgy and awkward for actual use. Can I get the older format for this back? Until today, WordPress has made it possible and I add easy to use either new or old so anyone who posts small and likes the new can use that too. New can be improved and genuinely so, but it can also be ‘cute’ and dumbed down and more limiting too, for all but occasional use. Thanks, Tim Platt (PlattPerspective.wordpress.com)

Go to the “Comments” page – Then “All Post” it will be in the old classic format from there. Use the “All Post” page as a template to get back to or/and click back to “Comments” page.

Your wordpress.COM username is unhelpfully linked to your linked in page rather than your wordpress.COM blog URL.What is the URL of your wordpress.COM hosted blog URL?
You can enter it here https://wordpress.com/me/account under Primary site and under web address.
If you want to know why these past two years have been dominated by user interface changes that have made desktop blogging more difficult and time-consuming, and less enjoyable you can read these:

@steppingrazorsoundplatesystem
I use the link structure to navigate where I want to go and I try to teach others to do the same thing. For example when I answer support questions in threads I always post this link format
https://support.wordpress.com rather than posting
wordpress.com support docs deliberately. When doing so, I hope bloggers take a very close look at the link structure and understand how logical it is so they can use it too.

Hopefully, you understand that what you are posting is not likely to be helpful. This thread is tagged for Staff like the other one you have repeatedly posting into. Please stop posting. -
timethief@ Your REPLACE WITH links don`t work.

To summarize what’s been said so far:
You can no longer get to the “classic” editor from your blog’s home page drop down menu. For the moment, you can still get there via the drop-down menu at the dashboard, or the drop-down menu on the comments editor page. From those two starting places you can also access the classic version of “all posts” and “all pages,” to use the “classic” editor on older posts and pages. The dashboard can also be accessed via the “admin” tab at the bottom of the left-margin menu the new stats page. If you still use the old stats page, it’s not available from there.
Little by little, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find the “classic” editor, so to have convenient access to it and avoid all that scrolling around, it’s probably easier to find your way to what you need (while you still can) and then make links to those locations. I call mine “New Post,” “All Posts” (for editing old ones) and “All Pages” (for editing pages).

@sensuouscurmudgeon, in general, don’t rely on menus or in-app links to access the classic editor. These have been (or will be) updated to give users a consistent experience regardless of which app they’re using.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/apps/If you want to use the classic editor, I’d recommend making a browser bookmark directly to the posts screen.

@timplatt532, you can find your old editor here:
https://plattperspective.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.phpCan you also send more feedback about what specifically is making the new app kludgy for you? I’ll make notes in our system.
