Restoring social shares after changing permalink

  Hi,

  I recently installed a theme for my new wordpress.org site which is hosted by go daddy. This automatically changed my old permalinks for my old blogs posts and now all my past social shares are lost. I’ve been researching and they suggest using a custom permalink plugin to change back the permalink of individual blog posts. But when I do that, i get a 404 error. Appreciate if someone can help me fix the error so that I can restore my social shares.

  For self-hosted blogs which do allow you to upload custom themes, change permalinks structure etc., WordPress.org community support forums are the place to seek help.
