Restoring theme

    Hello,

I recently started working with theme called “Goran”. I kind a messed it up, cause I was new in sense of creating a page from a scratch, so I deleted it and wanted to start over.

Before I deleted my page it had all these templates like Grid page and Child pages for that Grid page, ect… I hoped it all would came back, when I would start over, but it didnt…

So Im asking you, if there is a way to get back all those templates, cause I want to create a Grid page for my landing page, I have no clue how to add Child pages to that Grid Pages.

    Please help.

    Kindest Regards and holiday greetings,
    Vlad.

    Hi Vlad,

You can still use the Goran theme’s page templates, whenever you edit or create a new page on your site. In the page editor, you can choose the page template you want (like the “Grid page” template).

Goran’s Grid page template is designed so that any of that page’s child pages are automatically displayed in a grid on that page. (So those child pages don’t need to have a specific template.)

You can also find details for setting up those and other pages on the Goran theme page. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

Thank you for the answer ;)

    I have some more questions…

    1. Is it possible for page name (Title) not to be displayed on the Featured image when I open pages?
    2. Why there is no plugin button under Appearance button?

    Thanks ;)

    Hi Vlad,

    1. Is it possible for page name (Title) not to be displayed on the Featured image when I open pages?

That’s part of the Goran theme’s design, and there isn’t a built-in way to change how the page’s title is displayed. If you’d like to further customize the theme, you can do that with our Custom Design features (part of the WordPress.com Premium plan).

    2. Why there is no plugin button under Appearance button?

Plugins are a feature of self-hosted WordPress sites using the WordPress.org software — there are many features on WordPress.com inspired by popular plugins, but additional plugins can’t be installed here. (You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org and WordPress.com if you’re curious about that.)

If there’s a particular feature you’re looking for, the WordPress.com Support site has more details about many of our built-in features, or if you let me know what you’re looking for I can help you find out if it’s an option here. :)

    Hello,

I have an additional questions. Apparently my company owns this site http://synottipsportabars.lv/ its based on WP.

We are having problems accessing a dashboard page. We tried to change password, but it didn’t help.

Can you please check whats wrong with it…

A former employee created this page, so maybe we put some kind of access limitations?

Is the username for this page “synottipsport” or did we get that one wrong as well?

I know one thing for sure – the e-mail for this page is (email visible only to moderators and staff), correct?

    Kind regards,
    Vlad.

    Hi Vlad,

The site at http://synottipsportabars.lv/ is a self-hosted WordPress site, which is separate from sites hosted at WordPress.com. The accounts used to log in to self-hosted WordPress sites are also completely separate from WordPress.com accounts.

The support staff like me here at WordPress.com don’t have the tools or access to help with regaining access to self-hosted sites (since they aren’t hosted here), but this information may help you with that:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

You can also get more help with self-hosted WordPress sites in the WordPress.org forums, or from the hosting company that hosts the site. I hope this helps!
