Restricted page width

    I’m using Barnsbury to build a website for a small charity. Working unpaid! I have built a homepage by simply overwriting the Theme’s sample homepage. When i try to add subsequent content pages the content occupies a very narrow space in the middle of the page – about half the width of the header and footer menus above and below it, which looks weird. I cannot find any way to adjust the width of the content – whichever block or pattern I use. An option marked ‘Layout’ does not appear anywhere I can see. Not under ‘Appearance’ nor under ‘Page settings’. The same happened previously when I started the build using the Seedlet. Am I doing something wrong?

    I’m using the Starter package which doesn’t allow plugins or CSS. I’m using a laptop running Linux and my browser is Chrome. Any help welcome!
