Restricting access to blog pages only for registered users

  Hi

  We would like to block certain pages from access to all surfers, and to allow viewing them only for REGISTERED USERS who have registered themselves to the blog, by supplying their email+name+personal password, and clicking on a confirmation email they receive.

  The plain password protection won’t work – as it’s using the same pwd for everyone.

  I know this can be achieved in a plain WP install – but does wordpress.com (paid account) can support this in any way?

  No. You could make the entire blog private, but you can’t make only certain posts private unless you wanted to make everyone contributors to the blog and keep the posts as Drafts, which is ugly.

  You could start a second blog, make it private and then just invite those you desired to view it. That is the only option I can come up with.
