Resubscribe issues

I am a subscriber, not a blog writer. I am attempting to subscribe to a blog at my child’s school that the teacher writes to keep parent apprised of classroom happenings. I click the subscribe button, enter my email address and click add email. I then receive a notice that I will receive a confirmation email. The email never comes. I did the same with my husband’s email address abs he is able to subscribe. Apparently I was subscribed but now unsubscribed and cannot resubscribe. Please fix this. This is frustrating for those wanting to follow a page.
