RESULT_CODE_HUNG: crashing while working at the backend.
-
Hello all,
recently I have had problems when editing my posts in the backend of our site. Usually when I am toogling around the block center or when I am adding a new block, the browser tab freezes, and later a errof RESULT_CODE_HUNG appears.
I have searched for possible workarounds, but cleaning my cookies or content in cache seems to not avoid the problem totally.
Any views on this issue? Looking forward to your reply.

Hi there,
The only sites I see on your @jiyota WordPress.com account when I check on our end are listed here:
- mextabmon.wordpress.com
I do not see any errors when visiting this site. Is it possible you created your site under a different login that we are not able to see? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

Dear staff-totoro,
Thanks for reaching.
However, note that my post was related to the backend, and not to the frontend of the site. So visiting the site would not cause you any problem.
My claim is that the *backend* crashes sometimes while editing or creating new posts. Just to register, I do all the editing in browser. I am not sure of the reason, but it caused me a lot of pain because I have already lost content and editing due to this process. And usually it occurs when certain actions take place (e.g., adding a new block by typing “/”+”command” in the post prompt.
I have googled “Result_code_hung” already and I took the usual measures people recommend, but crashing still occurs sometimes.
Looking forward for some insightful comments.

I tried replicating the issue on your site, but I didn’t get any errors.
The
RESULT_CODE_HUNGerror comes from the browser (Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Vivaldi, Opera, etc.), and it’s not related to the site specifically. What we can suggest is to make sure that your browser is up-to-date, and even trying to edit the post from an Incognito window.
Additionally, would you mind trying to edit your posts from Firefox?

Hello dragstor
Thanks a lot for reaching this post.
What we can suggest is to make sure that your browser is up-to-date, and even trying to edit the post from an Incognito window.
I have tried the incognito window and it worked just after I had a crash in Chrome. So it seems to be a problem still in my cache on Chrome, most probably.
Additionally, would you mind trying to edit your posts from Firefox?
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don’t have Firefox installed in my PC right now. But do you think it would make a difference regarding this issue?
Other question: does installing the wordpress.com app make it easier to edit the site rather than doing it on the browser?
BR and thanks again

Hi there!
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don’t have Firefox installed in my PC right now. But do you think it would make a difference regarding this issue?
If you can, this would indeed be helpful – since this does seem to be a browser-related issue, testing to see whether the same thing happens in Firefox would be helpful if you can.
Other question: does installing the wordpress.com app make it easier to edit the site rather than doing it on the browser?
I’d say this is more a matter of preference! The app has many of the same tools as you’ll find in your browser – if you’d like to give it a try for editing your site, by all means go ahead.
