Retrieve a deleted post

    Hello, I deleted a post back in 2016, and I realised that an important paragraph also got deleted with the post. I can see it as (unknown or deleted) in the stats option. I would be very grateful if this post can be retrieved as I have searched archive pages and couldn’t find it.

    Deleted posts and pages go into the Trash and get automatically deleted after 30 days. So your deleted post is gone forever.

    Hi @kpisal1997 – After a little more thought, you might be able to retrieve the text of that post if you can find it on an older saved version of your site, which this website specializes in…

    Go there and enter your full site URL into the search box near the top of the site. Be sure to include the https:// part in the URL.

    My hope is it pulls up a timeline of saved versions of your website. If you see a saved version from prior to 2016, click on it and you’ll see a calendar. Click on items in the calendar to view the old versions of your site. Maybe, just maybe, the old post is still there. If it is, you can copy the paragraph you need and paste it where you need it for safe keeping. I hope this helps. :)
